nudes galore
Any opinions on male nudity in film? It has always been a taboo to show full frontal male nudity. Now it is becoming much more common.

Current Mood: hot hot

I must say that I love it, and it's about time.

Thanks, Rachel for your reply.

Which films stick in your memory with nude males? Any scenes you found particularly hot?

I don't remember off the top of my head, but a sexy, naked man in any scene pleases me. This tv season I've been watching 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand' and they have some very good scenes with naked men. There are views of nice butts and also front views of 'everything'.

I take it "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" is not on regular TV but a pay cable channel? Are you serious? It's hard to believe they are showing front views of "everything" on TV. if this is true, you must tell me which channel and time this series is on?

It comes on the Starz channel, I get it from 'direct tv', Friday night at 9:00. It has a lot of sex, a ton of nudity of both men and women, and there have been some yummy scenes where wealthy women have asked to look at the gladiators naked, and there they stand in all of their glory, and the women don't even hide their lust. Two of the aristocratic women have paid to have sex with them. It's a lot of fun to watch.

Thanks for the additional details.

UGH! I don't get Starz channel and I don't have 'direct TV.' I'm still a cable subscriber, unfortunately. I wonder why cable isn't able to broadcast this show? It's obviously popular and people are watching.

Never thought I'd hear of this kind of openness in film, let alone on TV!!! What is considered acceptable is changing so quickly....years and years of repression and censorship, then all of a sudden, the flood gates are opening.

Did you see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (the full frontal nudity of Jason Segal)? Or Viggo Mortensen's nude fight scene in a steam room in "Eastern Promises?"

No, I haven't seen either one of these but might just rent out "Eastern Promises" some time :-)

"Eastern Promises" has become known as a game changer. It's a full seven minutes of Viggo Mortensen onscreen nude in a steam bath fight scene.

Judd Apatow is a filmmaker who is known for a long string of comedy hits, including "The Forty Year Old Virgin," and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." He is committed to showing a full frontally nude male in every film he makes and this is because of, as he puts it, "America's fear of the penis."

Are we really "afraid" of the penis? Do you and your friends feel frightened or ashamed or uncomfortable in any way when you see an image of full frontal male nudity on screen?

lol, ashamed or uncomfortable, are you kidding?

I would never get tired of seeing a male penis. I love seeing them, now about my friends, I'm not sure if they like everything out there, and then also I've been told that most women don't get into nudity and explicit writing of sexual encounters, that they're more into romance, but I like both, even better, I like it mixed up together.

LOL. I hear ya.

Any other films/tv shows with hot penises you care to share? I don't get to see all of the movies that come to the theatre-so would love to know when something is not to be missed.

Do you consider porn over the top? Or do you like certain kinds of porn?
skylightdance From: skylightdance Date: April 12th, 2010 02:55 pm (UTC) (Link)
I don't remember any specific movies with any specific cocks, lol.

And as far as the porn question, it depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I search the net for good porn.

You've never had an image or scene linger in your mind after seeing a film with male nudity?

What do you consider to be "good porn?" Is it porn with a heart? Do you need a story to get into it?
skylightdance From: skylightdance Date: April 18th, 2010 03:18 pm (UTC) (Link)
Of course I have, but I can't think of one recently. A good scene I like to think of over and over. And I much prefer a story line with it, and there's were it's difficult to find.

So when you decide you're in the mood for porn, do you have any favorite sites you go to?

Oprah did a show recently on porn and she said women are going to porn sites more often today but certain types/kinds of porn we prefer-porn with a story or an emotional aspect to it. I can't say I've run across a lot of porn like this. But maybe producers are tailoring more of their productions to a female market.

I've spent some time checking out porn sites, lol. I've been at porn sites for women (straight porn) and I've been to gay porn sites.

When I want porn, I don't need a story line, just sexy looking males.

I like seeing all parts of a man, everything.

I enjoy the gay porn. I like thinking about men being together. I like watching them in videos.

I think if people were honest they'd admit they do the same (that is check out porn sites). The sex industry is only a multi-billion dollar industry. A few people's grandmas are not knitting sweaters late at night as they assume.

The story lines are so awful that they don't really work anyway, I have found. Just a poor excuse to delay the inevitable (to build excitement presumably).

Absolutely agree with the "all parts" feedback. Funny how the less "glamorous" parts get little press but can be an even greater turn on under certain circumstances.

I wish you'd share a link or two...I'm curious.

Thanks for the feedback, Lekusoak.

I'm not understanding your reply. What song are you talking about? And who performs it? And what film is it in?
